The first thing my grandma taught me when I was a little girl, was how to make DOILLIES.
My grandma - as most grandmas - was an expert in crochet. Our home is full of her crochet projects (curtains, tablecloths, borders - name it and we have it!).
What I wanted to do is alter the way her doillies was meant to. I crocheted the same patterns with bulkier and colorful yarns and I made a table runner with these.
I even made a rug for my son's bedroom.
